Notes on the Global Network: Foreword

1 Leave a comment on paragraph 1 0 The title of this collection of notes should be “The Global Brain” or “The World Brain” but before going that far some introduction is needed to qualify such the metaphysical implications of such phrases.

4 Leave a comment on paragraph 4 0 These are not technical studies but focus more on the cultural, social, political and economic structures and effects. 

5 Leave a comment on paragraph 5 0 The relationship between the technical infrastrucutre and the cultural effect is that saem as the relationship between the tagnle of cables and devidces that sit in office and the writing, web browsing, and a dozen other jobs I do on my computer. While the machine has a logic it is software logic rather than technical logic and software is in fact just a computational representation of activities that we like or need to do.
